Brain Tumor Symptoms

Headaches: This was the most common symptom, with 46% of the patients reporting having headaches. They described the headaches in many different ways, with no one pattern being a sure sign of brain tumor. Many - perhaps most - people get headaches at some point in their life, so this is not a definite sign of brain tumors. You should mention it to your doctors if the headaches are: different from those you ever had before, are accompanied by nausea / vomiting, are made worse by bending over or straining when going to the bathroom.(1)
Seizures: This was the second most common symptom reported, with 33% of the patients reporting a seizure before the diagnosis was made. Seizures can also be caused by other things, like epilepsy, high fevers, stroke, trauma, and other disorders. (3) This is a symptom that should never be ignored, whatever the cause. In a person who never had a seizure before, it usually indicates something serious and you must get a brain scan.

A seizure is a sudden, involuntary change in behavior, muscle control, consciousness, and/or sensation. Symptoms of a seizure can range from sudden, violent shaking and total loss of consciousness to muscle twitching or slight shaking of a limb. Staring into space, altered vision, and difficulty in speaking are some of the other behaviors that a person may exhibit while having a seizure. Approximately 10% of the U.S. population will experience a single seizure in their lifetime.
Nausea and Vomiting: As with headaches, these are non-specific - which means that most people who have nausea and vomiting do NOT have a brain tumor. Twenty-two percent of the people in our survey reported that they had nausea and /or vomiting as a symptom.

Nausea and / or vomiting is more likely to point towards a brain tumor if it is accompanied by the other symptoms mentioned here.
Vision or hearing problems: Twenty-five percent reported vision problems. This one is easy - if you notice any problem with your hearing or vision, it must be checked out. I commonly hear that the eye doctor is the first one to make the diagnosis - because when they look in your eyes, they can sometimes see signs of increased intracranial pressure. This must be investigated.
Problems with weakness of the arms, legs or face muscles, and strange sensations in your head or hands. Twenty-five percent reported weakness of the arms and/or legs. Sixteen percent reported strange feelings in the head, and 9% reported strange feelings in the hands. This may result in an altered gait, dropping objects, falling, or an asymmetric facial expression. These could also be symptoms of a stroke. Sudden onset of these symptoms is an emergency - you should go to the emergency room. If you notice a gradual change over time, you must report it to your doctor.
Behavioral and cognitive problems: Many reported behavioral and cognitive changes, such as: problems with recent memory, inability to concentrate or finding the right words, acting out - no patience or tolerance, and loss of inhibitions - saying or doing things that are not appropriate for the situation.

OMG~~It's really a mixed feeling now, to go and take package.. for i can concentrate on my studies and knowing that place don't worth me staying any longer , this place have nice people and fond memories..with the chaotic recession now, it is really impossible to get a job. how how??

Back from school just, have to settle down and buck up for studies again, my schedule is so pack till im suffocating. . Think again, 24hr a day is just too little for me, years back, i thot im able to have the lifestyle i want, but now guess i need another 3 years. Haiz..

Today is my 4th day for reservist, as usual we reported to MT line and slack throughout the day. If SAF have all the time in the world to spare, i sincerely hope they will wake up their bl**dy ideas and make good use of us NS men and not wasting our time away.

I was late this morning, and was in a dilemma whether to declare my camera hp for i be walking in to the camp and not taking my frenze ride. After all consideration for being fine of $150, i decided to surrender. (chicken out)**

Just when this evening i wanted to collect my hp back, i got the most ridiculous, outrageous, absurd shocked.

Dutyguard: Sir, you are not allowed to collect your hp, please come back to collect tom btw 0700 - 1800.
Me: What!!! You are saying as the owner of my hp, i cant even collect my own hp!!!
Dutyguard: But sir, this is the regulation,no one is to colect after 1800 hr and your hp was handed to the RP, and now they have left for the shift. Please come back tom.
Me: Instead of smuggling my hp, declared and entrusted my hp under your care, and now i personally came down here to retrieve my belonging, and u told me i have to come back the f**king next day!! I cant do w/o my hp, i want to speak to your in-charge.
Dutyofficer: Hi sir, please understand our difficulties. we really cant return you the HP.
Me: I understand where you coming from, but i still need my hp... idle for few min. . Fine!! I'm gonna back this up to your CSM tom. @$%$#^#&%$

The TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 RS Caliper Concept is quite an impressive concept. Featuring a world first, the Grand Carrera Calibre 36 RS is the only automatic chronograph capable of measuring and displaying 1/10ths of a second. A COSC-certified movement oscillates at a ultra high 36,000 vibrations per hour (vph), allowing the watch to measure 1/10th second intervals.

The Calibre 36 RS is housed in a 43 mm in diameter case which has a black titanium carbide coating. There are "black gold" accents all over the dial of the watch including the indexes, TAG Heuer logo and the hands. The two rotating systems indicating the chronograph minutes at 3 o’clock and the chronograph hours at 6 o’clock systems also use black gold. Hangout with Dorcas & friends at Mr Bean Selegie yesterday, went to Crew room right after.
In the mids of the conversation, i can actually feel how dorcas really work hard and the right attitude in her present job, (Not that I'm not!! but not as rigid as her. ;p)

Finally got the time to update this blog of mine. Recently was carried away with tons of books, part-time studying while working was hectic sia. Due to rushing on my project ,facing sleepless nights. . . my body breakdown and was on medication leave. falling sick was bad enough, yet CC can lecture me for always being a ''sick person'' and absent from work, resulting fellow team mate to always cover my ass for me. Been asking myself what do i really want in life, Haiz . . . i still have a long way to go before i achieve my dream life. . . set up a family of 1 kid, buy a 5 room flat/apartment, own a car and earn 10k monthly. isnt it simple? keke.

Thought i may have Niki, but im out of house everyday from 9am and back by 11pm. Is that fair to her. . I do have a perm job, but the salary is miserable. . .i cant sit and do nothing, I have to re-organise everything. .

SINGAPORE: If you're one of those who managed to buy tickets from Sistic to Jay Chou's concert on 19 Jan next year, consider yourself one lucky bunny. These tickets, which range from S$28 to S$198, went on public sale on Monday and were sold out in four hours. This is in spite of concert promoter Hype Records adding another show on 18 Jan. But what's upsetting fans isn't so much that the tickets sold out so quickly. That, they say, proves the popularity of their favourite artiste. What's irking them is that the same tickets are now available online at Yahoo! Auctions at severely inflated prices. At last check, sellers are asking for up to S$1,500 a ticket for the S$198 seats, roughly seven times what it's worth. "It's unfair," said technical support executive John Lee, 24. "These people are obviously not fans. I wanted to buy a ticket to go watch the concert, but I saw the auction and the prices are (so expensive)! It's really crazy!" Hype Records told today they cannot police the actions of individuals. The company explained in an email: "We are aware of the auctions ... We can't control the profiteering actions of the public; but we definitely do not encourage such actions. We are in the midst of seeking legal advice and will take necessary actions against related cases." Acquiring the tickets through official channels was not without its obstacles, either. Tickets for Chou's concert were put on pre-sale from 1 to 4 Nov for OCBC credit card holders, before the public sale on 5 Nov. So, for non-card-carrying fans such as Lee, their chances were practically nil. "My friend was at Sistic on Monday at 10 am, but they only had the S$168 tickets left. When we tried to buy, they only had the S$198 ones left … Then they said it was sold out. All within five minutes!" he said.

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation. Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. 1st prawning experience

Had a long weekend last week, it had been a fulfilling weekend for me. =) I cant imaging myself prawning for 2 consecutive day, wahahahaha, In just two days, i been to the one near Bishan golf club, Lakeside fishing village, Marina south and the one next to the remote crocodile farm. In fact prawning need some basic knowledge before u kick off, if not it will take you hour just to get one!!! keke.

you must check the hook , make sure it isn't too broad nor narrow.
Before kick off, check the depth of the water and adjust the float as needed.
cockle will be a better bait then chicken heart, where as for pros, you guys will know what to use ba.
Normally prawns will be at the side of the pond, that how i feel.

SINGAPORE: The private banking sector in Singapore is poised to get a boost from Standard Chartered Bank's acquisition of American Express Bank.
Under a deal announced on Tuesday, StanChart is buying Amex Bank for US$860 million in cash.
The tie-up will boost StanChart's private banking business in Asia, of which Singapore is a key part.
There has been growing competition in the private banking sector in Asia as banks eye the region's 2.6 million high net-worth individuals.
Major players include UBS, Citigroup and HSBC.
StanChart says its acquisition of Amex Bank will propel the lender into the top-ten list of Asia's high net-worth wealth league - most likely in the seventh position.
Its assets-under-management globally will increase by about 73% to US$30 billion.
Out of that, up to US$20 billion will be based in Asia, where StanChart's private bank has its headquarters in Singapore.
Peter Flavel, a senior managing director at StanChart, said: "What it (the acquisition) adds is... a larger number of relationship managers purely working onshore in Singapore.
"And this transaction adds 120 relationship managers to our 150 relationship managers globally. Around three quarters of those relationship managers are in our natural footprint in and around Singapore. So it's a good and very strong fast-tracking of our plans."
The acquisition will also double StanChart's US-dollar clearing business and provide a direct Euro and Yen clearing capability.
Flavel said: "For Singaporean companies wanting to trade out of Singapore and wanting to settle and buy in Euro and Yen and sell their products in Europe and Japan, we've now got a much greater in-house capacity."
StanChart will not be keeping the Amex Bank brand name but it plans to leverage on its other capabilities.
Flavel said: "They have two trust companies in Guernsey and the Cayman islands. They've got a number of Advisory Rep programs for unit trusts, which are very good. So we're pleased with those two capabilities and there's a Geneva booking centre as well."
